Requiem für das Wasser

Drinking water comes out of the tap, but drought and water shortages have already arrived in Germany. So far, flora and fauna have only suffered from a lack of water. In many places in the world, clean drinking water costs a lot of money. Contaminated drinking water causes diseases and death. The water crisis is happening now- everywhere.
Since political action is not visible, we have decided to take precautions and not wait until it is too late.
We say goodbye to abundant fluids. In this reuqiem we invite you to grieve with us and revive the communal space for lament and mourning.
We invite you to say goodbye to our beloved and vital water. Lament with us this immense loss. Come to the funeral ceremony for our beloved water.
With this performance we are part of Global Water Dances, a globally connected and locally acting performance structure that uses dance in public space to advocate for water conservation and takes place every two years.
